I’ve finally done an easy GUI implementation for canihazrecover. It may contain *many* bugs!
The software comes “as-is,” without any express or implied warranty, like all other versions.

Hi. It seems that canihazrecover is not detecting my iphone in DFU mode and therefore cannot complete process. Any suggestions?
Try to use command-line version of canihazrecover.

so, i’ve got a 3GS version but it doesnt work.
The problem is how to manage the usb_control_msg exploit.
When geo or chronic or the dev releases black/red/poison sources, i can start to make it work.
Wowww you have to wait someone releases new version of jail? I thought you will release canihazrecover in a few days/weeks…

Can I borrow my friend’s Mac and boot my iPhone using canihazrecover? She has iTunes but my iPhone is set up on my Windows pc.

When using this new GUI version, it tells me to locate my firmware which is 3.1.2. I do this and it seems to work but then gives me error not in dfu mode, I click ok and then it says to the effect “firmware modified or ready for restore”. Is this right? and do I just need to do a restore from Itunes now?

Are you using Leopard instead of Snow Leopard? I think it’s related to that.

What happens if you are jailbroken with Spirit and you are stuck at the boot logo, and have an iPod Touch 3g USB control MSG should have nothing to do with that because that’s not the exploit Spirit uses.
